Tommy Billington is an English professional wrestler and actor, best known by his ring name, Dynamite Kid. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time. He is also known for his work in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW). Billington began his professional wrestling career in 1975, and quickly gained a reputation for his high-flying, technical style. He is credited with popularizing the diving headbutt, which he used as his finisher. He is also credited with innovating the use of the top rope in wrestling. Billington is a two-time WWF Tag Team Champion, having held the titles with Davey Boy Smith as the British Bulldogs. He also held the AJPW World Tag Team Championship with Smith, as well as the Stampede International Tag Team Championship with Smith and the British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Championship. Billington retired from professional wrestling in 1996 due to injuries. He has since made sporadic appearances in the wrestling world, including a brief stint in the WWF in 1999.
