He has choreographed for the Tony Awards, the Academy Awards, and the Emmy Awards. Azito was born in New York City and began his dance training at the age of seven. He studied at the High School of Performing Arts and the Joffrey Ballet School. He then went on to study at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance. Azito has choreographed for numerous Broadway shows, including "A Chorus Line," "Cats," "Dreamgirls," "The Wiz," and "The Producers." He has also choreographed for television shows such as "The Cosby Show," "The Golden Girls," and "The Muppet Show." Azito has choreographed for films such as "The Birdcage," "The Addams Family," and "The Nutty Professor." He has also choreographed for the Academy Awards, the Tony Awards, and the Emmy Awards. Azito has been nominated for two Emmy Awards for his choreography. He has also been nominated for two Tony Awards for his choreography. Azito is currently married to dancer and choreographer, Donna McKechnie. They have two children.
