Vanessa de la Torre is a Colombian journalist and television presenter. She is best known for her work as a news anchor for the Colombian news channel Noticias Caracol. She has also worked as a reporter for the Colombian newspaper El Tiempo and as a correspondent for the Spanish newspaper El País. De la Torre was born in Cali, Colombia, on 10 January 1978. She studied journalism at the Pontifical Xavierian University in Bogotá. She began her career as a reporter for the Colombian newspaper El Tiempo in 2000. In 2004, she joined Noticias Caracol as a news anchor. She has since become one of the most recognizable faces in Colombian television. In addition to her work as a news anchor, de la Torre has also worked as a correspondent for the Spanish newspaper El País. She has also written for the Colombian magazine Semana and the Spanish magazine El Mundo. De la Torre is married to Colombian journalist and television presenter Juan Carlos Sánchez.
