Victor Shaburov

In November 2019, Snapchat bought out the remaining shares of the owners for $166 million, evaluating the entire company at $200 million. Snapchat added the Cameo function to the application in early December 2019.

In October 2018, he founded AI Factory Inc. The start-up, among other things, developed the Cameo function, which made a short video out of a selfie with the imposition of various effects and stickers. Snapchat was an investor and co-owner of a startup.

Since October 2015, after Snapchat's acquisition of Looksery for $150 million, he worked at Snapchat as Director of Engineering.

In May 2014, Victor founded the company Looksery Inc. After launch, the startup took first places on the App Store charts in many countries. Looksery is included in Vogue's list of the best apps of 2014.

From September 2011 to May 2014, he was overtaking the position of the vice president of Opera Software. At that time, based on the Handster platform, he created the Opera Mobile Store with monthly visits of 100 million users.

In October 2004, he founded Handster Inc., which was subsequently acquired by Opera Software.

Victor was born and raised in Yekaterinburg, Russia. He studied at the Specialized School of the Ural Federal University, where he successfully participated in the Olympiads in mathematics. In 1999, he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of St. Petersburg State University with a master's degree.

In September 1999, Victor Shaburov became one of the founders of SPB Software, where he has been working until November. From 2001 to 2008, he worked as a researcher at SAP company. During his work, he created 12 patents.
