Vincent Telly was a French composer, songwriter, and actor. He was born in Marseille, Bouches-du-Rhône, France, on 24 May 1881. He is best known for his work in the French film industry, composing music for films such as La Grande Illusion (1937), La Bête Humaine (1938), and Le Corbeau (1943). He also wrote the lyrics for the popular French song "La Mer" (1946). Telly began his career as an actor in the early 1900s, appearing in several silent films. He then moved into composing music for films, and wrote the music for over 50 films between 1930 and 1950. He also wrote the lyrics for several popular songs, including "La Mer" and "La Vie en Rose". Telly died in Paris on 15 April 1965. He was 83 years old.
