Poluski began his career in the theatre in 1876, when he joined the company of the Royal Court Theatre in London. He quickly rose to prominence, and by 1881 he was the manager of the theatre. He was also a successful actor, appearing in many of the plays produced at the Royal Court. In 1883, Poluski moved to the United States, where he continued to act and manage theatres. He was the manager of the Boston Theatre from 1883 to 1885, and then the manager of the Madison Square Theatre in New York City from 1885 to 1887. Poluski was a popular actor and theatre manager, and he was highly respected by his peers. He was known for his professionalism and his commitment to the craft of acting.
