Branden's recent experience of producing nine short films combined with the release in 2013 of his You Tube channel has him realizing that not only does he have a much larger market than previously realized, he also has a rapidly growing, loyal audience.
With that in mind in 2010 Branden set out to launch his own pay-per-view website. The Branden Blinn Media Group produces and distributes high quality bisexual/gay related material which falls into the category of some of the most widely viewed dramas and comedies.
In January, 2008, Branden Blinn's short film "Confidences" was picked up for distribution by Hollywood Independents to be included in their short film compilation titled "Str8 Men and The Men Who Love Them 2. " As Str8 Men neared release, Hollywood Independents found they were short ten minutes of screen time and approached Mr. Blinn to see if he had anything else that would fit the compilation. With nothing else to offer, Mr. Blinn pitched a story idea, which eventually precipitated the short film, "Thirteen or so Minutes. . . ""Thirteen or so Minutes. . . " graced the cover of "Str8 Men and the Men Who Love Them 2" and turned out to be the most highly received, reviewed and regarded short within the compilation. It also went on to screen in over thirty film festivals around the globe, including Los Angeles, Miami, Palm Springs, Austin, Seattle, Honolulu, San Francisco-where it was part of Frameline 33's coveted Fun In Boys Shorts program-as well as Montreal, Canada; Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch New Zealand; Luton, England. Within just a few months of the release of "Str8 Men and The Men Who Love Them 2," copies of "Thirteen or so Minutes. . . " could be seen across the internet and around the world. While the phenomenon was good for branding his new film company, along with revealing a potentially lucrative, worldwide viewing market, it was not so great for profits: once a film is sold via DVD or is made available for download, it can also be pirated-and pirated it was.
