William Tony Hooper is an American special effects and make-up artist. He is best known for his work on films such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), The Howling (1981), and The Terminator (1984). He has also worked on television shows such as The X-Files (1993-2002) and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003). Hooper was born in Austin, Texas, and began his career in the early 1970s. He worked as a special effects artist on the 1974 horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He then went on to work on a number of other horror films, including The Howling (1981) and The Terminator (1984). Hooper has also worked on a number of television shows, including The X-Files (1993-2002) and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003). He has also worked on a number of video games, including the popular Resident Evil series. Hooper has won several awards for his work, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects for a Series for his work on The X-Files. He has also been nominated for several other awards, including a Saturn Award for Best Make-up for his work on The Howling. Hooper currently resides in Los Angeles, California. He is married and has two children.
