William Wiard was an American film and television director, producer, and writer. He was born in Los Angeles, California, and began his career in the 1950s. Wiard directed episodes of many popular television series, including The Twilight Zone, The Fugitive, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Wild Wild West, The Invaders, The Big Valley, and The F.B.I. He also directed the feature films The Wild Bunch (1969) and The Omega Man (1971). Wiard was married to actress and singer Joi Lansing from 1959 until her death in 1972. He died on April 28, 2020, at the age of 96.
