Xolilizwe Mzikayise Sigcawu was a South African traditional leader and politician. He was the paramount chief of the amaGcaleka, a Xhosa-speaking people of the Eastern Cape. He was born in Willowvale, Eastern Cape, and was educated at the Lovedale Missionary Institute. Sigcawu was a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and served as a member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature from 1994 to 1999. He was also a member of the National House of Traditional Leaders from 1997 to 1999. Sigcawu was a strong advocate for the rights of traditional leaders and was instrumental in the establishment of the National House of Traditional Leaders. He was also a vocal critic of the government's land reform policies, which he argued were detrimental to the interests of traditional leaders. Sigcawu passed away on 28 August, 2005 at the age of 79. He was survived by his wife, four sons, and two daughters.
