Yasaburo Sugawara is a Japanese wrestler who was born on 26 November, 1952 in Akita, Japan. He is 68 years old. He is a former sumo wrestler and is currently a professional wrestler. He is best known for his time in the All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) promotion, where he held the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship twice. Sugawara began his career in sumo in 1969, reaching the top division in 1975. He was a runner-up in the May 1977 tournament, and won the July 1977 tournament with a perfect 15–0 record. He retired from sumo in 1979, and began his professional wrestling career in 1980. In AJPW, Sugawara held the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship twice, and was a two-time World Tag Team Champion. He also held the NWA International Tag Team Championship and the NWA United National Heavyweight Championship. He retired from professional wrestling in 1997. Sugawara is married and has two children. He currently lives in Tokyo, Japan.
