Zakari Ziblim was born in Ghana on 3 April 1925. He is a politician and a member of the National Democratic Congress. He was the first Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana from 1993 to 2001. Ziblim is a graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of London. Ziblim has served in various capacities in the Ghanaian government, including as Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1979 to 1981, and as Minister of State in the Ministry of Education from 1981 to 1983. He was also a member of the Pan-African Parliament from 2004 to 2009. Ziblim is married to Mrs. Ziblim and they have four children.
