Zelmar Casco is a 94-year-old Argentine fencer. He was born on July 31, 1926 in La Plata, Argentina. He is best known for his fencing career, which began in the 1940s and lasted until the late 1970s. He competed in the individual and team foil events at the 1952 and 1956 Summer Olympics, and won a bronze medal in the team foil event at the 1956 Games. Casco also won several medals at the Pan American Games, including a gold medal in the team foil event at the 1955 Games. He was a four-time Argentine national champion in the individual foil event, and a three-time champion in the team foil event. Casco is currently retired from competitive fencing, but he still coaches and mentors young fencers. He is also a member of the International Fencing Federation Hall of Fame.
