Zoran Jerin is a Slovenian journalist and writer. He was born on 13 February 1925 in Celje, Slovenia. He is best known for his work as a journalist and editor for the Slovenian newspaper Delo. He studied at the University of Ljubljana and graduated in 1949 with a degree in journalism. He then worked as a journalist for the Slovenian newspaper Delo, where he was editor-in-chief from 1965 to 1975. He has written several books, including a biography of the Slovenian poet France Prešeren, and a book about the Slovenian writer Ivan Cankar. He has also written several plays and screenplays. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Prešeren Award in 1975, the Order of the Republic of Slovenia in 1996, and the Order of Freedom of the Republic of Slovenia in 2002.
